The device simultaneously measures various parameters such as respiratory rate, oxygen uptake (VO2), carbon dioxide output (VCO2), heart rate and other cardiovascular and metabolic data. These measurements allow a detailed assessment of fitness, performance and possible cardiopulmonary restrictions or illnesses.
Stationary spiroergometry with the Quark CPET is particularly useful for the diagnosis of cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, for monitoring training progress in competitive sports and for assessing general physical fitness.
