Büchi Syncore
Description:
An efficient, safe and environmentally friendly tool for parallel sample processing. Focus on residual volumes. The Syncore instrument is suitable for all aspects of multiple sample processing. Its design concept allows a unit to operate as a parallel evaporator (polyvap) that can be immediately converted into a parallel concentrator (analyte). Parallel evaporation of solvents from different samples over a temperature range from room temperatures up to + 100 ° (or bypassing preset safety settings up to 150 °C) in a pressure range from 1 mbar up to ambient pressure. Thus, the field of application includes rapid parallel evaporation of several samples, uniform concentration to predefined residual volumes and parallel synthesis. Chemical analysis often requires the concentration of large volumes on small residual volumes.
The analyst performs this task with a locally cooled attachment. It also offers high recovery rates due to smooth sample processing. The 6-format flushback module significantly increases recovery rates. In chromatography, a large number of samples are bundled in larger flasks or evaporated individually. The workflow in sample processing is significantly increased by the simultaneous evaporation of several samples. The efficient parallel concentration of large sample volumes to predefined residual volumes is a cornerstone of practically every sample preparation technique in environmental analysis and quality control. In addition, the gentle evaporation of thermosensitive compounds is critical to prevent thermal decomposition. The analyzer accomplishes both tasks by cooling a small appendix at the bottom of the sample vials. Sample adhesion to the glass wall is prevented by creating a gentle rinsing effect on the top of the glass wall with partially condensed steam.
The analyte sample vials have a small appendix at the bottom that is cooled locally with water or a suitable coolant. This stops the evaporation process when the solvent level reaches the top of the cooling zone. Therefore, the sample is concentrated in a small, cooled residual volume, preventing thermal decomposition.
The analyzer is designed for applications where a concentration step is required. This is typically the case in food and feed and environmental analysis or quality control. As the sample rests in the cooled attachment, the analyzer is also ideal for the evaporation of temperature-sensitive compounds. In analysis, high recovery rates are essential. For such applications, the Flushback module is highly recommended.
